Cam Parish Council are commissioning a local artist to create an art installation of the bus shelter at the junction of Knapp Lane and the High Street (A4135) with an aim to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the public space. It needs to sit well in the character of the area.

Grants availble
Cam Parish Council has a small budget for the award of grants. The Council can only award grants using certain legal powers. Council must be confident that any grant awarded will benefit Cam residents

Nominations open for the Clifton Community Award
Community champions are being sought by Cam Parish Council for its annual award which recognises outstanding public spirit in the parish.
The Clifton Community Award was launched last year to celebrate and reward those who are doing great things, often behind the scenes. Last year's winner was litter picking supremo Eric Torrington who regularly clears the parish streets of unsightly rubbish.

Increase in Cam's tax bill to fund essential services
Taxpayers in Cam will be paying an extra £3.48-a-year, or 7p per household per week, for the services offered by Cam Parish Council.

CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON 2024!
CAM'S Christmas lights are due to be switched on during a fantastic fun-filled community event on Saturday 30 November.
The lights in the trees around Noel Lee Way and along the High Street will be switched on just before 5pm after an afternoon of entertainment starting at 2pm. The countdown for the big switch-on will take place outside Cam Post Office.

Carriageway work around Cam & Dursley Railway Station
Works to repair carriageway damage near Cam & Dursley railway station will take place on Wednesday 30 October. Advanced Closure warning signs are in place.
Motorists can follow the diversion signs and access to Cam & Dursley Railway station will still be maintained from the A4135 and Box Road direction.

To celebrate the new snickets map for Cam - we are launching a colouring competition for local mini aspiring artists!
