Roman Villa Update
ALL TOURS ARE NOW FULL AND NO FUTURE DATES ARE AVAILABLE - SORRY FOR ANY DISAPPOINTMENT
Due to High Demand ...
We are hoping to run one more day of visits to the villa site in conjunction with Bovis Homes and Thames Valley Archaeological Services and will share details on our website and Facebook page when confirmed.
Bovis Homes are producing a video about the discovery, the dig and it's context in local history.
- Large information and photo boards will be displayed in the reception at Cam Parish Council and all residents are welcomed to view them when they are installed.
- Gloucestershire County Council Heritage Team Leader, Toby Catchpole, will be attending Cam Parish Council's Annual Parish Meeting on 18th March at 7pm to give a presentation on the findings, hopefully supported by the Thames valley AS archaeologists. Residents of Cam are welcome to attend this meeting.
- The Villa will be preserved as per the archaeologists recommended method. Interpretation boards are hoped to be displayed at the site for future information and will be easily accessible from the public right of way running past the site.
Thank you to everyone who has showed such an interest in this finding.
