ENTRANCE WORK AT JUBILEE PLAYING FIELDS
Work to improve the entrance to Jubilee Playing Field is due to start on Thursday 17 September to improve safety for both pedestrians and drivers. The work is expected to take two days.
The playing field will remain open during the improvement works but vehicles and pedestrians are asked to be very aware that heavy vehicles and surfacing equipment will be operating at the entrance.
Warning signs and bollards will be erected and it is expected that the main car park will be open for vehicles to park safety. This car park will be locked in the afternoon when the works finish.
Cam Parish Council has commissioned Cotswold Surfacing Co to do the following entrance work:
Removing a section of hedging to improve driving visibility.
Laying tarmac on this newly created space.
Installing 2 x removable bollards on this area. This to prevent parking but to allow easier and safer pedestrian access.
Laying a tarmac path to meet the existing path.
Replacing 3 x wooden posts close to the Pavilion building with 3 x composite posts.
